Verdigris Patina  - 60" Height, Solid Brass
Weight: 38.0 lbs

The graceful form and large size of this pair make this piece an excellent focal point.

Our solid metal sculptures and fountains are made of a copper-based alloy defined as brass. In architecture all of these alloys are identified as "statuary bronzes", because of their similar colors, uses, and weathering characteristics.

Our sculptures and fountains can change color as they age, which opens an entirely new dimension to their use in architecture. The very pleasing and protective natural patinas that our sculptures and fountains assume as they age are synonymous with durability and lasting quality. The gradual change in appearance underscores the timelessness of these beautiful creations. You will enjoy your fountain or sculpture for many years. They are heirlooms that may be passed down from generation to generation since brass will not decay or rust. All of our pieces have been designed to enhance the beauty of your house inside and out.

Moisture on brass causes a chemical reaction that gives brass its verdigris (green-gray) patina. An outdoor setting will only enhance the finish of your piece. Saltwater does nothing to brass. Moisture of any kind will add to the beauty of your piece

Unlike stainless steel and aluminum, brass is bacteriostatic. Brass actually hinders the spread of infection. Brass is a health protective metal.

Brass meets today's taste for warm, natural "earth" colors and finishes. It is one of a very few metals that can assume natural colors that are at the same time protective and beautiful.

The fine details found in our sculptures and fountains are created when each piece is cast by the "lost wax" method. This ancient method of casting metal dates back to ancient Egypt and was refined in Rome and later Western Europe. The method of lost wax casting produces unique sculptures with fine and lasting details.
