10" Pot - Nelumbo species
The Lotus genus, Nelumbo, is a small genus within the Water Lily Family. The Lotus is perhaps the most famous of the Water Lilies and is emblematic of the family, all of which have the same general form.
Nelumbo nucifera, Sacred Lotus, is the Lotus of legend. There are a number of cultivars of this Lotus that have outstanding beauty. Flower color ranges from pure white to pure red.
The lily pad for the Lotus can be as much as 3' in diameter. The leaf color is a deep yellow green.
